Our service is delivered by a collaborative team of experienced clinicians:
Dr Hussam Al-Diery
Clinical Lead & Surgical Service Lead
Fellow RNZCGP, currently completing further surgical accreditation via the Skin Cancer College of Australasia. Hussam has excised and cured hundreds of skin cancers for patients at Henderson Medical Center and leads the service with a focus on safety, precision, and cosmetic outcomes. He operates Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, with dedicated surgical sessions on Tuesday mornings and Thursday afternoons.
Wendy Duckett
Lead Nurse Dermoscopist
Wendy brings immense experience in dermoscopy, having assessed thousands of lesions. She is trained via SCCA and HealthCert, leads our skin cancer dermoscopy service, and oversees ongoing skin surveillance and recall systems. Wendy has detected hundreds of Melanomas in her career and has a keen eye for the smallest of Melanomas. She has diagnosed Melanomas the size of a freckle.
Jason Leigh
Dermoscopist / Nurse Manager
Jason is an excellent point of contact for patients seeking skin checks or spot assessments. With accredited dermoscopy training via Skin Cancer College of Australasia and strong clinical intuition, he works alongside the clinical team to provide collaborative lesion assessment and patient care.
Dr Vanshay Bindra
Surgical Services / General Practitioner
Provides minor surgical care and is currently training via SCCA in procedural techniques He has surgical experience from his training years at various Auckland hospitals and in Australia. He is available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
