Many families become used to ongoing symptoms and may not realise there is room for improvement.

It may be time for a review if your child:

✅ Uses their reliever inhaler (blue/grey puffer) more than twice a week
✅ Wakes at night with coughing, wheezing, or breathlessness
✅ Misses school, sports, or play because of asthma symptoms
✅ Has needed oral steroids or an ED/Urgent Care visit in the past 12 months
✅ Feels like their asthma could be managed better

During the appointment, the Asthma NZ nurse can provide:

🔹 A full asthma review and trigger assessment
🔹 Inhaler technique checks and support
🔹 Medication review and prescribing recommendations if needed
🔹 A personalised asthma action plan
🔹 Practical advice for home, school, and sports

The nurse will also work closely with our prescribing pharmacist to help ensure your child receives the best possible asthma care.

📞 Appointments are limited, so we are prioritising children whose asthma is not well controlled. All fully registered tamariki are welcome to book if spaces remain.
